how keep TCC locked up in decel?

i am new at chip burning, i have been at it for about a month or so now. i have been lurking on the DIY PROM board sense the day i signed up here.
i have a 730 ECM, 8D, S_AUJP_CCP bin, im using Tunerpro RT, Super_ 8dm2, 8d_v03. & 1227730_8d ECU files, for burning hardware i have the Autoprom along with the switcher & remote. next purchase on the list is a wideband O2.

using Tunerpro i know how to change TCC lockup speed, turn VATS on & off, invoke hiway mode & set max AFR in it, change timing, set the idle speed & some other things.
but, i would like to keep my converter locked in decel but i can not find what it is i need to change.
i have looked at Mark's site, Craig's site, & diy-efi.
i have read the tuning articles from Traxion, GRUMPY & others here, great work guys .
i have done a search here & read through alot of the posts from the beginning, the closest thing i could find is this,
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=267508 and a few others like it.
using a HEX editor is way over my head as i know nothing about HEX or any of the other ways to edit a bin outside of using Tunerpro.
i learned alot from all the reading i have done in the last 2 weeks, alot of it probably won't stick & i'll be going reading back over it again soon, so i know i still have a very long way to go. i may have very well missed what i was looking for.

i know the converter may not like being locked in decel, but, i drove my car for well over 2 years with the VSS gear ratio way off, the ECM was reading 255 MPH by the time the car was at 15 miles an hour which caused forced lockup as soon as it was in second gear unless i was riding the brake. so i figure a trans overhaul is in my future which isn't too big of a deal for me.
correcting the speed reading in the ECM was the reason i found this site in the first place, but now i see i can do so much more.
sorry for the somewhat long post.
a point in the right direction on this would be very much appreciated.

Look in the anht.hac at the TC stuff. It will tell you the approximate location of the data for the TC locks. Then just add it to your ecu.

There is another thread that goes into it in more detail. Need to set the terms at L8316 and L8317 to zero. Then flip the TCC unlock for DFCO bit in an option byte: L8018, bit 3. I think a zero will forego the TCC unlock in DFCO.

i read that 1 too. but its over my head.

from that post,
The bytes at 0xE10F (0x610F if you look at it raw in a hexeditor) in AUJP are as follows:
7E E1 A2,.........
how do i find/view these? i opened the HEX editor in Tunerpro, but i don't see them.
is there another program i need?
sorry for the noob questions, i learn best by watching someone do it & then doing it myself, but on the net there is no way i can watch, so this will probably take a while for me to learn.

There is no need to patch the code. The calibration terms will do what you are asking.

Here are two more threads of interest:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=127583
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=124576

In the end just make the changes I outlined and all will be good.

RBob.
