My first post in this forum...

I've been posting on TGO for years now, and this is the first time I've posted in this forum, so please bear with me.

I have a '91 z28, 355, with a D1SC ProCharger on it. I have 24# SVO injectors in it right now. I tried to dyno it the other day, but it was running way too lean. It was obvious that I need larger injectors. I wanted to put 42# injectors in it, but the friend of mine that offered to burn a chip for me said he had a problem getting his car to idle with anything larger than 38# injectors. Can I run 42#s and still have a decent idle? What can I suggest that he mess with to make them work?

BTW, I did a search, but I'm still trying to learn this stuff, so I wasn't completely understanding everything I was reading.

Thanks in advance for any help.

With running a Supercharger, you should be running code to match a boosted application, ie the Syclone code. I'm running a variant of that code, with 60 PPH injectors on my 231 Buick.

Doing a search for 749, 58 code, and 60 code will give you a ton of data to absorb.

Since you brought up the Buick....
I'm wanting to buy the stuff to start burning my own chips. Will the same equipment work to burn chips for my wife's '87 T-type?

To some degree. Your 91, uses a later ecm, different prom size, and prom mounting. The *burner* is universal, if you go with www.tunercat.com for editing software, then you just need the .tdf for the TR, to edit both types of chips.

Keep reading! You'll be hooked (I am!!!)

The amount of information floating around in this forum is nothing short of amazing. If you can put it all together, you'll know quite a bit of what goes into the ECM.....

WIth that said, patience is important. I've been reading here for quite some time now, and still have a lot to learn! (although, I want to learn as much as I possibly can, not just what I need to know to make things run great.....)

This stuff is neat, and with every new discovery you make, or read about, it just get's that much more exciting....

This has become close to the only forum I look at here on Thirdgen.org!
