Transmission control code using a P4 ECU?
After searching on this board for the last couple of days and getting no-where with my code (well nowhere with a few parts of it) i thought id ask a few questions....
Some background info.... Iam looking at using a 1227808 ECU (so basically a 1227165 without the 8192 UART) to control a Toyota automatic transmission. I need 2 regular outputs for the transmission solenoids and two PWM outputs for the TCC and the accumulator (for line pressure control during shifts). It will also require a few inputs like TPS, RPM, CTS, VSS plus 2 manual shift buttons (tiptronic sytle) and a manual/auto switch.
I guess the first question is - is this possible with this ECU?? I will be scrapping all the engine code and writing new code (other than using a few routines that are useful/needed) so i need not worry about what outputs affect other parts of the code.
The second question is I have figured out the A/D part but am unsure on how the PWM oututs on U9 in the schematic http://www.cruzers.com/~ludis/1227165schematic.html are mapped. Can anyone explain how these are mapped and whats needed to turn them on and off and change the duty cycle??
Cheers
