Cold start issues (6e)

I'm trying to get a mini rammed car to start in the morning. I've tried leaning/richening open loop, iac up /down, and btw is cool comp. spark only a factor in open loop because I've tried it also.
If this helps it will run good if I put my foot just slightly on the pedal while starting but it has'nt for 2 years idle up then drop whether its cold or running temp?Any ideas ?????

Hi, I have a 1969 327 with a big cam (over 300 adv. duration), and big valve heads, retrofit with a TPI. (MAF, 6E). The car would start right up, and then die unless you lightly blipped the gas several times, then it would idle once the IAC caught it (it would still be idling well under target cold idle speed). I completely fixed this by modifying my #1 MAF table to increase the fueling across the board at low flow (0-22 g/s). The car now starts and idles at its correct high idle speed without dying or surging, and it does its high idle warmup routine correctly. I bumped my idle air flow (10 g/s) up approximately 0.5 volts on the chart.

Try going in about 1/8 turn on the min idle screw. Some cars just like not having to totally rely on the IAC for cold start/idle air.

Might also try a max IAC count of like 35, with all the other IAC counts set to less then 33, and see if it likes that.
