VE and BLM's
I was reading BranZ's thread on wondering blm's and I too have this condition. I see Grumpy's response that 124 to 130 is cool. Am I right in thinking that at 124 the ve table is sending too much fuel to the engine and that 124 is the amount the ecm is correcting therefore resulting in 14.7:1. I guess what I mean is the closer to 128 you get the less the ecm has to correct and the better your throttle response will be. I am new to this and very interested in your responses. I put vortec heads on a stock 350 in a 88 pickup and it just did not feel right so I decided to burn my own chips. I'm at 21 burns and counting. thanks

The thing to do is make small changes, take good notes, and see the trends that make your engine run it's best. Once you think you have it *right* then start over with what you learned the first time. Eventually you'll get real comfortable, and know what the scanner, and data logger are telling you.
Thanks for the reply Grumpy. There seems to be blurring between timing and fuel. So far I have only messed with VE tables. If I read this right 124 to 130 is very close and maybe a tweak here and there on timing might bring these closer to the "MAGICAL" 128 mark. Thanks again. This stuff is great but the more I read and learn the less I seem to know
