PP won't write
PP won't write
I have a pocket programmer
It will read chips.......I did write before and verify and everything worker great.
I erased some chips in my datarase II.
Now those chips come up as blank and programmable in the xtronics software.
When I try to write I get "device not program....."
any clues?
bad chips?
speaking of chips.......I have seen some stuff here about people putting zif sockets in their ecm's and using eeproms instead of the prom.
can someone point me in the right direction. Semms like a great idea and something I would really want to do.
I have a 87 GN with the 1227148 ecm. the 2732 chip.
Seems like a worthwhile investment to at least be able to erase electronically.
TIA

I used to also have great trouble using old 2732 chips..
I had no probs at all once i started using 28c64 eeproms in their place.

That happened with my programmer also. Turns out I programmed at a wrong voltage and fried something inside the programmer. I had to send it in for repair, cost like 60 bucks if I remember correctly to get it repaired.
