The search function and $60 code

I've read in a couple posts that the $60 code is an open source alternative to the $58 code. Will it work on a 730 ECM with the requisite pin modifications? What program is recommended for editing it? (I used Tunercat previously.)

For some reason the search function on the website doesn't like looking up terms such as "$60" or "$58", it immediately returns no articles found. And the stickies at the top have nothing about the $60 other than a blank heading. I'm guessing it has to do with the use of $ to denote strings in PHP.

The 3 letter limit should be removed for the DIY Prom board it is very annoying when searching for things like PE, AE, $8D. Also I have noticed the search has been a lot worse ever since they changed to the new search.

EDIT: I meant to say 3 letter minimum instead of 3 letter limit, but you know what I mean

I agree, it does make it hard. I've wondered why it is the way it is, and also if posting a new thread in board problems about it would do anything but I doubt my opinion matters much if there is a specific reason for it.

edit: I just realized that I CAN search for two-letter things now. Hm. So, retract what I said above I guess.

Might try a search on "Grumpy"
Or "source code"

What's with the baby turbos j/k

I need to order some T04E60's after I get the long block built.

Oh, and it's not a public src code......

The search function currently hasd some issue with it, as you guys have seemed to notice. I have had the same issues and have been trying to fix broken links and reorganize some stuff here and I cant even do that much.

They are aware of the problem and are working on it. Last that I know it wont be completely resolved until all the new board hard/software is in place and functioning.

later

Sweet, thanks. Now where do I get it? There's no mention of that in the thread and I haven't been doing PROMs in a couple years so everything's different, and probably in different places.

And what's the word on using routines from the $60 source in other custom bins? (Such as making a boost-enabled $8D.)

It's pretty well dead.
The 60 project was about having full source code, and an easy way to develope it into something better. Of those that were *code guys*, that asked for it, have done nothing, or at least haven't share any of it's developement. Just the way things have worked out.

Unless, your actually into the code end of things, then the 58 will suit you just fine.

There's no practical reason for trying to add to the 8D when the 58 is already set up for boost.

VATS, no repinning...

I have a compilable AUJP with about 1/8th of the jumps converted to labels and 1/3rd of the tables commented/cleaned up. So if I finish that it'll be cake to extend the 9 tables that use the MAP, code in a couple other boost related tables.. do whatever.. Plus it's the best way to learn the ECU's functions.
