52mm throttle question

If I replace my stock 48mm throttle body with a 52mm will I also have to adjust the MAF tables? I think I will but the reason for asking is I got the 52mm in the mail today and if I do not have to change any tables I will install it now so I can run it at the track tonight otherwise I'll wait untill next week.

Will a 52 mm TB have a change on the MAF tables? Probably, but not great would be my guess.

Best way to determine the effect of a 52 mm TB would be to properly tune the MAF car scalar tables with the 48 mm TB using a Wide Band O2, and then install the 52 and determine if there are any differences.

Unfortunately, I don't recall anyone on the DIY Prom actually testing this and posting any results. So go for it and let us know.

The downside to bigger throttles, is that it *can* **drastically** change the AE requirements. I don't know about 48s->52s, but in playing around with some large, to really large TB on my car, with the really large one, I had to crutch the AE, thou the VE table to get off idle right.
