scanner recognizing DIY prom
I'am currently running a JET chip in my car. Since installing a new motor (305 to 357) with larger injectors she's been running rich so another local TGO member is helping out by burning me a new chip. My Auto X-ray has no problem recognizing either the stock chip or the aftermarket JET chip, but when I put in the DIY chip I get "vehicle not responding". We tried his auto-xray the other day but we get the same results. Does anyone know what it is that identifies the chip to scanners. The car is a 91 Formula TPI and the BIN file used was for that year firebird TPI. Thanks in advance.

Are you 100% sure it's not in limp home mode?
I had something similar happen to me when I was using TunerPro, the $8D chip ran (definitely not limp home mode) but I could not link up with any of my scanners. I went back to a stock bin and edited it with TunerCat and my problem went away. I haven't spent any effort looking into the problem because at the time it was time to put the car away for the winter...
