Looks like the max steps are at $55A, and the gain term is at $559. The gain term controls how many TF steps are used relative to the TPS%.

ok, i tried it and sure enough it worked. thanks so much. i set the max TF steps to 18 and it really tamed things down alot. doesnt race all over town anymore when my foot is off the gas. for some reason though it still reaches some high iac steps, not often, but once in a while and then it doesnt return until i come to a complete stop for a few seconds. any suggestions?

ok i think ive figured out when its happening at least. before the engine reaches full operating temp the iac will follow the throttle for the most part but then when i take my foot off the gas it stops following and stays somewhere in the vicinity of 40-55 iac steps and wont move again until i come to a complete stop for several seconds, then the steps decay down slowly. if i hit the gas again the iac continues to follow throttle but the same thing will happen until the car is fully warmed up and i have driven around town a bit. then its fine. does it have to do with learning? added steps for coolant temp? or is there some other factor adding steps that i don't know about? i would have guessed sticky iac but my last one did the exact same thing.
