Hi,

VATs Is vehicle anti theft right. Why do people remove that from there chip? JUst wondering is all please.

I don't have the VATS module or the ignition switch with the resistor contacts. The resistor turns on an output in the module to output a 33-66 hz square wave (IIRC) to the ecm signaling it's ok to fire the injectors.
I did it out of necessity of a retro fit, IMO most do it because it's a PITA and something else thats bound to break one day.

So yes it is a part of security then. Yeah so disableing this sillyness should be oK? Oh one thought if i disable this will i be able to use a plain eginsion key? I think the module gets it's input from those special $250 doller keys right??
