Please help, no start

I need this car to start with the new engine, but it just spins and spins. It turns over, has spark, don't think the injectors are firing though.
Here's what it is
383 ci, SD conversion just now finished
AUJP bin on prominator grom gm-ecm

I'm trying to put a new AUJP in the PROMniator but the software just keeps saying to connect it? fdjhafg jgdfh gbdj ITS CONNECTED is there a hidden power switch or something? I dont think timing is it because I can turn the dist either way and it still doesn't do anything.

Things I think could be wrong

For the knock sensor stuff, I jumpered C to E, and soldered a resistor in to connect to both of those and into D. Is this right?
Back when we were pinning, I connected the four different injector wires in sets of two; 1,3,5,7 and 2,4,6,8 together, and the same for the other ones. I don't remember which pins they were. Was this incorrect?
In the AUJP form gm-ecm, the VATS looks already disabled. The SET box is unchecked. This is correct isn't it? This is from the same place that Bill got the AUJP on the board from so it should work, shouldn't it?

Please help. The car won't even sputter to start, the PROMinator won't communicate with the laptop, I need this car moving tomorrow..anybody know what to do?

They weren't. VATS was enabled.

Helps when the laptop's parallel port is set to EPP/ECP.

Hopefully she's got enough fuel and all that's left is initial timing

*crosses fingers*

Heh. I do appreciate that help.

I did go to start it this morning and got nothing, though. advanced/retarded a little while cranking. Neither did a thing. Soo I pulled the dist and turned the balancer to TDC on #1s compression stroke, reinstalled. Still no dice. Backfiring all over the place though. Missed the car show, and a few other things I was supposed to do yesterday. So I get to go through the ignition system now and see what's going on, still worried about the fuel that I'm probably dumping past the rings.

So, what are you doing this weekend?

A huge pile of homework that's due Wednesday which is the difference between me keeping my 4.0 or failing a class. Sorry

Did you change the displacement and injector settings in the bin to match? (base timing in the bin also if you have it set to something other than 6)
Also be sure the mechanical things are setup, the TPS and IAC resetting cangive you problems that if TPS is high the fuel will cutoff.
You must be getting some fuel if you are backfiring (lean if in the intake, rich if in the exhaust)
take a step back, check it out and give it another go at it.
Sometimes a beer or two helps
