I am running the TunerPro Version 3.10 on my 730 ecm with the AutoProm. I am having a great deal of trouble with the ALDL communications. The problem is that I can only see the data when I am watching "Monitors" page tab. I get no data when I go to the flags, bits or values tabs. I am running a windows 98 laptop. I also can not get it to connect at all when I have the ALDL communications set with AutoProm, only the Max232 cable. I have tried moving the switches on the back panel with no luck. It is very hard to datalog when I can only watch two variables at a time. I have not tried the new version of tunerpro yet, I will though. Has anyone else had this problem?

If running Win98 you need "rich20.dll" to be located in the TP directory. That will keep you from seeing values displayed.
I think there's a note on the TP site with a link to it.
I know I've seen it somewhere

Check out the device manager when the AP is connected. Be sure it is being seen when you have the horizontal switch twards the middle of the unit.
The communication should be set to "Autoprom" when there and set to "Max232" when twards the outside of the unit.
You should be able to initialize the unit and get into the "Moates I/O" section. That will confirm you are connecting with the laptop ok.
If running in the "Max232" setup with the switch twards to outside, the computer "port" must be set to the correct one. Most of the time when installing the Moates driver my comuter would set it for comm 5. Adjust the settings to get it to a number you can match in the software and both ways should work.

Got it to work! I finally can see everything in one screen now. With that everything is working properly.
