my programmer won't work on a 27sf512 chip
i have a pocket programmer and i get a message
" model 1 of the pocket programmer does not support this device"
i did a software up grade about a year ago
what are people using to program on this chip?

The Pocket Programmer II *will* program that chip. However, you might have to get a newer version of the software in order to do it. I'd bought my PPII in 2001. While the option to program the chip was shown, it wouldn't work. I purchased the latest version at the time (Nov '04). This took care of everything.
I should also note I still get the warning message each time the chip is selected. But, it doesn't stop the hardware from working!
