I have been trying to figure out my car is running like crap. A few of us were thinking that the problem maybe the O2 sensor is not staying warm enough in my headers and that I needed to use a heated O2 sensor. Well, I finally go my AutoProm working and made my first scan of the car, this is when I found problem #1. I tried to scan the car at lunch today and made it about 1mile, then I ran into problem #2.

1) I was going down the highway and all the values were correct for my speed. The O2 sensor field kept turning red and was hitting numbers like 1061.16mV and then would drop to all the way to 182.04mV. I looked up from the comptuer to make sure that I was going straight down the road and when I looked back, it was dead. Everything had zeros except the coolant temperature sensor that was showing -40.00F. I looked at the values at the last frame before it died, but to me (complete newbie) everything looks fine.

2) I started the car when it was cold. The start-up temp was about 107.15F. I was still parked when the car entered 'closed loop' at 120.65F. As soon as I started driving, the O2 was reading 1101.12mV at 1300rpm. I started slowing down to go underneath the bridge and it I wasn't getting any values any more. Much like problem #1, the only value that I had was -40.00F.
