i just dropped it on desktop last night. will open program for first time tonight and see if it can communicate with my 7747 ALDL and XP with RS USB adapter. anything i need to know about this program? any running quirks? current winALDL user.

You need to use RT to communicate via ALDL with you 7747. That said, it should work fine. Downlaod the latest version and use the included 7747 ADS file.
