I've been in a major battle of wills with my ECM. So far, the ECM is winning. The short version of the question is this: Can I change a parameter to let the ECM know its not going to get a VATS security signal, so start the damn car anyway!

There is a VERY LONG story behind this and I won't bore you with it, suffice to say its a '92 Camaro 305 TBI engine swapped into a car that never had a Camaro ignition switch, a security module, a key with a chip in it, nothin' like that. On a previous day the engine ran beautifully without a VATS signal, then I innocently tidied up a wiring tangle, now the VATS won't let the injectors spray. No spray on cranking, no start.
