False or not false knock, how to be sure?
I got som strange knocking at 1700rpm 55-65kpa. My car is pretty loud ( headers, 1:6rrs, dual 3inch etc ), so my guess is false knocks. Its only in that area and sometimes going WOT from a stand-still, just during tip-in.
The test I done so far is, to lower the timing 10 degrees, no change, also my WB say im not lean, and my BLMS is at 126.
Plugs show no signs of detonation. What more test can I do before I unplug the ****?
Thanks

You could add a splash of xylene, mixed properly of course, to raise the octane and see if the knock is eliminated but I pretty much think you've proven that w/ the 10 degrees of timing removal. just an idea.
