Initial Spark adv (distr. setting)

I have 6 deg in the chip (8D 90 vette).
I checked in the dist and I can't lower the initial deg (without the EST) to 6 deg.
I ended to 8 deg BTDC with the distributor.
(I'm not able to turn far the dist because i have a stock Hei and a Superram plenum. no clearance.. I'm with one of the spark wire against the edge of the plenum...).
Is there some thing wrong if i set the constant "Initial Spark adv (distr. setting)" to 8deg BTDC?
I know that in this way I can look without errors at the SA tables , but I'm here asking if putting it to 8 (instead of 6) I can have some other problem... I'm referring to some hardcoded bias value that is fixed to 6 deg ....
Thanks

Setting the bin value to 8 degs to match the distributor base is correct. It will work properly, there isn't any thing else in the bin that needs to be changed.
