Prom DIY Burning

I am new to prom burning and my car is running lean. It also will not go in to closed loop even with a stock program. My car is an 86 Iroc TPI With a 355 10.72/1 compression with a Mild cam. I have success burning chips and getting the car running better, but it will not go in closed loop or run rich. Please help!

hook up a wideband. The factory o2 can be very misleading. If you have used one then post your a/f ratio charts. Make sure to post the lean area (gr/sec+rpm) AND what you are doing to change the fueling..

I'm not sure hooking up a wide band is the answer here. Let's start simple.

Take a data log and look at what your O2 is doing while you're actually driving the car. If, when the engine is at normal operating temp (~200 degrees in most cases), the O2 sensor isn't going "up and down" (regularly crossing the 500mv thresh), that's most likely why your car is not going into closed loop.
