New here, Need help with custom chip programming

Hey everyone,

Well if you noticed my screen name you might already know im not a camaro driver. Although you guys seem a lot smarter with electronics than the blazer guys.

Their way to fix anything is, "Carb it" ... lol... not after i spend a nice amount of money on a comp and wiring harness!

Anyways... Heres my question..

I need to get a programmer but im not sure if almost any relitively new programmer will work for our computer chips. Heres one i was looking at on ebay.

ebay programmer

My 96 s-10 has a 1993 TBI fullsize truck computer in it. It is MemCal also. It currently has a hypertech chip but the truck is still kinda laggy.. (well it has 3.08s to top it off)

I would rather use flash chips... The whole baking the chips just seems like a hassle...

Heres my 355 TBI specs:
Stock crank, has been turned
recondition connecting rods
forged 10:1 compression pistions

Stock cast iron 193 heads
Angle grinded valves
Acid treatment
Comp cams 272HR .500 gross lift duration at .050 is 215 for both intake and exhaust

Edelbrock performer TBI intake
Holley 675 CFM throttle body with ajustable FPR
2.5 inch Y pipe
No cat or EGR
S10 v8 conversion shorty headers
3 inch pipes into 40 series flowmaster
under drive pulleys

You all think it could benefit from custom programming? Im going to bust out winALDL tomororw or something...

thanks for your input!
