Idle timing

What changes are necessary to allow the system to run off of the main spark advance table at closed throttle instead of the closed throttle spark advance table on a $8D configuration? I have searched and read through the guides, but came up empty handed.

Here's a little info on quals for idle.

While researching for that post.
I just did a search in the hac for the mode word used and looked to see if the correct bit was being referenced.
Then wrote down what all was affected.
W/o looking at it at all, and from very tired memory. You could change which table is called when in idle to the main table instead of the idle table.

I don't understand why you would want to do this. The main spark is a 2D table using RPM and MAP. The closed throttle is just RPM. The MAP doesn't change a lot at idle. Why not copy the low RPM main spark advances values to the closed throttle spark advance. It would essentially be what you are trying to do with code changes.

If the BCC is AUJP or AXCN change one location: $3929 in the bin

From $22

To $20

That will cause the code to use the main SA table under closed throttle conditions.

Yes the BCC is AUJP. When at idle with the A/C on it would idle better with a little less timing then with the A/C off.
