chip type?
Ive been searching and searching......... xtronics wants my "chip type" before i buy the romulater.... do you guys know which one i have in a 92 chevy truck with a ecm part# 16146299???

Yep 2732A. You really should buy 7747 though as the bin files, ecu files, and patcches are more readily available. More people use the 7747 becuas it is not the 1 year only ECM that the 299 is. The 7747 is a direct swap for the 299. My 1992 van TBI setup had the 299 and I went to a 7747 out of a Astro.

i'd hate to sound stupid but where can i find this 7747?? is that the ECM model # or is that the "chip type" ... ??

7747 refers to ECM type. The full part number is 1227747. Chances are you don't need to swap anything to switch ECM's, but to be 100% you should compare the wiring diagram for your model to one with a 1227747 ECM.
