PROM Changes Due TO Paxton
What changes would be recommended to make to the prom in order for it to work safe and good with for example a Paxton or ATI supercharger?

If you are going the DIY-way the best way is change to a 1227749/730 ECM and use the $58 code then you will have full control over both fuel and spark under boost.
But both Paxton and ATI's kit will work with a stock TPI engine using a FMU unit to control the fuel togehter with stock PROM, there are plenty of guys doing it.
Depending on how much boost you will run you might need to lower the spark advance in the stock PROM to avoid detonations......

ATI says that no prom changes are required. Not sure about paxton though. If you really want to get the most of your setup then you'll need to rework the fuel and spark tables. There is no way around it.
For example, my buddy has an ATI procharger on his l98 IROCZ. It ran ok on the stock tune. Just the addition of the s/c he went from running a 14.9 to a 13.9 (standing 1/4mi). That's not too bad at all. But with tuning he is going to run about 13.5 . The car ran "fine" but it runs way better now.
