Beginners questions any help appreciated!
Another new one to the prom tuning experience here.
I have an 8746 ecm and I bought the autoprom with all appropriate equipment.
I have done the G2 adapter and verified it works by running the old (hypertech) chip in it.
Today I went out to try and learn how tunerpro works and generally familiarize myself with the software. My first goal being attempting to datalog failed.
I was using the hypertech chip and I could not get any form of data to show up in tunerpro. Horizontal autoprom switch was to the outside, vertical I started the car up with it centered, then went to the lower position. Tunerpro would recognize that the ALDL connector was connected and the bottom box turned blue. Yet none of the ALDL views showed any indication of recieving data.
Thinking the hypertech chip had output disabled I removed it and attempted to run an emulated chip off the autoprom. Horizontal switch set inwards, ALDL cable removed, and 8746 bin loaded into Tunerpro. Bin successfully uploaded to the autoprom, and test passed.
When I put the key to the run position the SES light starts rapidly flickering, much to fast and consistent to be a code. Had anyone experienced that before?
Being the somewhat moron I am I tried a start anyways and it started fine (actually superbly compared to the hypertech) and idled at 2400rpm for about 10 seconds before I shut it off.
Here are the files I aquired for working on, maybe I have an incorrect one:
ads file:
http://www.moates.net/files/4)%20Datastream%20Definitions/1228746-160baud.zip
Bin:
http://www.moates.net/files/1)%20Stock%20Binaries/DIY-EFI%20GMECM%20Binaries/1228746/l03/axks1108.bin
xdf:
61 for 8746_TBI (Forgot where it came from)
Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance

I did some searching and tried power cycling the ecm after attempting an emulation to reset it and still I get this rapid flickering of the SES light.
Does anyone have any ideas I could try?

A flashing SES light is typically a sign that the the EPROM checksum is incorrect. This can be caused by an improperly programmed PROM.

Vertical switch needs to be centered, not in the lower position. The lower position is for dumping codes (hence the SES light).
Make sure you're using the correct ADS file for your 8746. There are some on Moates' file manager.

Thanks for the ideas guys.
Unfortunately on my way back from grabbing a new laptop the car overheated and poured coolant out from under the rear valve cover. So this projects on hold for a while. Ill be over in the TBI board looking for potential upgrading of the engine since its getting pulled anyways.
