I would think the cable is the same one. The "device ID" that is input to the data line will be identified by the device and respond accordingly.
Exactly what "that" is I do not know.
As a guess it would be of the same format as all the other modes within your ECM.
Similar to the "mode 0" call to get the engine ALDL data.

Code:
MODE 0, REVERT TO NORMAL MODE. ;* ;* ALDL DEV MUST REQUEST MODE 0 BY ;* XMITING THE FOLLOWING MSG TO ;* THE ECM: ;* ;* DEVICE ID = $F4 ;* MSG LEN 1+85 = $56 ;* MODE = $00 ;* CKSUM = $29 ;* ;* THE ECM WILL RESPOND WITH: ;* ;* DEVICE ID = $F4.* MSG LEN 64+85 = $95 ;* MODE = $00 ;* CKSUM = $cc

If you can find out what data is supposed to be coming out, I'm almost certain that creating a "ads" file for Tuner Pro would do it.
Just need to know what to look for when creating the definition file.
I'm just looking through the "ALDL stuff" file index and it is listing some ABS information. A134, A155, A156, and a bunch of others.
See if you can figure out which one your car uses and I'll try to help you with it.
the file is on Craig's site.

My guess would be A134.
Can anyone confirm this ?

I will look into how to find out what data mine send for abs codes but i dont know where to start looking so it could be awile. but i appreciate the offer for your help i was just curious really but if its that easy i will look into it cause i have an abs light right now but id say thats due to me having no fluid to the back brakes...lol...

The ABS controller is entirely separate from the ECM. None of the DIY ALDL stuff will help you with ABS trouble codes. Some of the commercial handheld scantools can pull ABS codes, though.
Yup, no fluid in the back brakes might have something to do with it.

I wasn't aware that ABS was an option on any thirdgen F-bodies.
The '91 Corvette wiring diagrams show the ABS diagnostic terminal as being ALDL pin H.

The red brake warning light is activated by a differential pressure switch.
Honestly, if you didn't already know that, you probably should spend a little time reading the factory service manual, or some internet articles about brake system basics.
What you've described has nothing to do with ABS. It's also not ECM or PROM related, so I'd suggest that the Brake Board would be a more appropriate place for any further discussion about your brake problem.

my bad man didnt mean to pench a nerve the only reason i thought it was a brake code was due to the fact that my gm scanner has a setting for brake codes but its not compadible for my vehicle....i just thought about it while i had some extra parts left over from making my serial aldl cable. sorry
