PROM id

Does anybody know how to figure out the prom ID?? I have tunerpro rt, and there is a table with numbers in it, but I can't igure out how to find the PROM id. I burnt a chip with stacked bins, and the car runs good on one of the bins, but I don't know which one it is. I see the prom id on the scanner, so if I could figure out how to find the prom id in the bin then i can modify it from there to suite my needs. Any help would be appreciated. I am using a 7747 ecm with a $42 mask.

BTW, I have a moates g2 switching adapter and the switch, but the letters/numbers on the switch don't coincide with the letters/numbers on the stacked file.

Then it's inverse as in 0 = 7 and 7 = 0, 1 = 6 and 6 = 1 etc.
As for finding the prom ID. It's the first 2 bytes of the file. Just add a new constant in TunerPro and it'll even default the hex address to 00 (that is the location, 0 is the first ). Then select 16-bit for size. This is because 1 byte is 8-bit and 2 bytes is 16-bit.

JP, think you could give me an example on finding the prom id. Sorry, I'm new to prom tuning. My prom id block has 3 columns and 2 rows, with numbers in the, I can only change one I believe. If i change it I can make the prom id some wacky number, but I would like to get the math to figure out what is is already. Thanx

The Prom ID is stored at location 02 in the 7747 and 8746. It is 16-bit. Make a new constant in TunerPro and just specify 02 as the location and then 16-bit for the size. You can change the output type from "floating point" to "Hex digits". Then open it up and it should be a slider with 4 hex characters.
