MPG chip and power chip

I was thinking of having two chips each programmed differently, one for street with high mpg and one set for power. I would like to have them on a switch, or if i have to, swap them out manually at the track. Is this possible? If so, how would you go about setting this up?

Get into burning your own chips and then get one of Craig Moate's adaptors with the ability to switch between calibrations.
I personally haven't had to even bother with multiple chips for performance/mpg. My multi-calibrations have all been drivability oriented. As in 1 chip/cal is setup for both power AND mpg. Then the rest are based off of this with changes in IAC, cl/op, testing purposes for octane/highway mode AFR, TCC differences, "valet mode" with a lower rev limiter, etc. Things that don't change the way the engine runs so much as does the way the engine responds to my right foot .
When a chip is done properly there should be no need for multiple when looking to get max power and max mpg. The major reasons for this is that they use 2 completely different area's of the main maps and have their own "modes" in which they operate. Make sense?

I use one chip for all of my needs(power, mileage, emissions), short of HEAVY towing. I have one that does not use highway mode, has the PE tuned slightly rich, timing a little late, delayed TCC lockup, etc. for use when towing. Very simple changes that I made to help eliminate the possibility of meltdown.

For example I can have my ECM enter PE mode at 30% TPS and get more power than in closed loop, but it gets poorer fuel mileage.

Other then for when you change to racing gas, why would you want something like that?.

With EFI, you can tune to have the best of all worlds, for a given amount of octane, on one chip.

High MPG, and Power are in different areas.

If you're wanting to drop fuel costs, then you might try a PROMINATOR so that you have 8 chips at the twist of a dial to try. That way you can play the octance game to the max, and do it per tank of gas.

what is pe mode?

Power Enrichment- does just that. It gives extra fuel and takes the ECM out of closed loop. Gives a mixture richer than 14.7:1. Highway mode is just PE mode in reverse. It goes back into open loop, giving a mixture leaner than 14.7:1 under light load for better mileage.
