Flash'n'Burn doesnt work with Ostrich?
I finally got my Ostrich installed after being told wrongly to use the drivers from the FDTI website. They gave me a missing file error and it would not install. I used the drivers from the CD and everything installed fine. Anyway... I installed Flash'n'Burn next, and ran the program. It recognized my Ostrich v10.10, so I loaded my bin, and when I tried to program, it said PROM I/O returned failure error. What gives?
See attached screen capture.

I've run my Ostrich with TC, but not TP, so far.

Regular Tunercat or Tunerpro or I need the RT versions? I thought I could burn a few bins into the Ostrich and switch between them on the fly. Did I misunderstand it?

Don you need the RT versions of either one. I started out with TC and now use Tunerpro.
After the last rev (V4.12) I like it better than Tunercat which I used for years. Mark has done an outstanding job with it.
Now that is for the emulator only. Plug it in where the chip goes and tune as you wish in realtime. To change bins you need the laptop hooked up to the Ostrich. I have had mine "running" my car since May. Never unhooked it.
The flash and burn only reads and burns chips with a bin from your editor.
Hope that helps

It's the Prominator that allows swtching entire .bins on the fly.

Yeah, you don't need to use the FnB at all if you're leaving the Ostrich in the car. Just load your bin directly into the Ostrich via your laptop. Once you get to a burn you want to run for a while, you hook the FnB up to the laptop, load the same bin into it and burn the chip, then disconnect the Ostrich from the car and plug in the chip instead.
Does that "brief but concise report" help any? LOL

To be clear (in case it isn't yet):
The Flash & Burn program only works with the Flash & Burn hardware and the chip burning function of the AutoProm.
You can use TunerPro RT (for free) with your Ostrich.
The Ostrich DOES support bank switching on the fly. See "View->Toolbars->Emulation Bank" in TunerPro.
Hope that helps!

EDIT:
Note that to use bank switching, you need to upload a bin to each of the banks. Select bank 0, upload the bin you want there, then bank 1, upload, bank 2, upload, etc.
When you want to run from or modify a bin in a specific bank location, simply select it from the pull down in the toolbar. The Ostrich instantly beings "using" that bin, and any changes you make in TunerPro will affect the bin in that bank. Make sure, of course, that you have the matching bin file loaded into TunerPro.
