Possibly stupid memcal question
Hey guys!
I thought I'd finally found myself a 350 memcal at an affordable price for my truck, but upon arrival, the thing is another V6 chip
So, I'm getting stick of buying chips already, and my question is if you can run a V8 on a V6 chip, assuming the prom is changed to that for a 350. I realize that the EST / limp mode stuff is different, but will it work well enough that I can start my truck, and possibly move it around the yard a bit? I haven't heard my truck run in 13 months, and the only thing holding me up now is that stupid memcal =/

"Stupid" is right up my alley.
What ECM? What are the backup DIPs on the memcal (Should be one of each of 14-pin and 16-pin resistor packs on the memcal with eight-digit part numbers)?
What you have may be viable, but the info will be very helpful.

Right, sorry!
Its a `7730 ECM -- The EST chip above the limp mode chips has a part number of 3091226 -- Can't see the limp mode chips due to the EST chip though.
The broadcast code for the PROM chip is AWNX which comes out to be a 3.1 V6's chip.
