datalogging
Ok so i got my cable from aldlcable.com, got my laptop and attempted to hook it up to the car...nothings showing. I checked the serial port on the computer...its good. I tried hyperterminal to see if the ecm and laptop were hooking up...nothing.
I have a piggy back chip on my prom for a tune already...do i need to take it off to do datalogging?...i know now that with this chip if i set my timing...the car wont run until i clear that code from the ecm...so i figure this piggy back chip is causing probems since it does that.
any suggestions?
Im using datamaster by the way
and the connector on the cable i got jumps terminal e or m on the cars diagnostic port

the piggy back chip shouldn't be causing your problem.
under setup, did you select the vehicle type?
did you select the com port?
