8f 3 bar
Hey guys,Me and some of the boys at the tgpforums are reaching the limits of the 2 bar set up.We are becoming very familar with the the 8f code and were wondering if we could incorporate a 3 bar patch in it.Can we use the 58 3 bar patch? If not what would half to be done to make this work? Also what kind of changes will half to be made to the xdf file?
Any help would be appreciated,Later

Grumpy thanks for ur qwick reply, there are not enough reasources at the tgpforums to get this done. The tgpforums has a handfull of brilliant tuners but as far as I know none of them have access to a assembler/disassembler.Would anybody here be willing to help us step up to the next level of performance?Any help will be greatly appreciated by the entire tgpforums community.

Long thread with the whole process laid out.
As you read it you will see the common issues that raise questions.
Work with it (It does take time) and it will become clearer.
Most of the thread concerns $8D but the processes apply to all.

If you're going to wait around for someone else to do all the work, it's unlikely much will get done.

Thanks guys for POINTING me in the right direction.I agree about doing it myself if I waited for someone to else to tune my car I would still be waiting. We'll keep diggin into this and I'm sure I'll be back soon.
Thanks again Later
Thanks again Later I think a large part of the problem is the 8F isn't completely commented yet. I mean it's about 50% there last time I checked, but seeing as how it's very similar to the A1, I'd check into comparing the code between them.

Both of the $8F and $58 that I have seen publicly available has a fair amount of mistakes in them. You would be better off starting out with a fresh disassemble and go from there. Use the public stuff as a comparison.
I started out with the public $58. I worked with it for a while and then just threw it out and started fresh. It wasn't worth deleting stuff and fixing it because there really wasn't much usable info in it anyway.
The $8F and $58 are kind of similiar. Could use just dissamble a 3bar $58, compare it to a $58 to see what was done and then drop it in the $8F. Seems like the most simple/quickest way to go.
Baldwin's AS6811 is a good assembler and is public for non-commercial use. The guy that scammed the DIYWB project has one to. I wouldn't use that one.

Nah, not yet. I decided to do another turbo vehicle this winter so it took up a lot of time. Then I started messing with intercoolers & learning to TIG weld so that chewed up more time. The $58 is about 1/3 to 1/2 done. Too early to release it yet.
It is like fabbing stuff. I do it only when I feel like it. That way I don't feel like I spent all of my time on it and get all protective about it.
I will be back to tuning the turbo rig in about a month so work on the commenting should resume. Yeah, it will be released when I get it done. It won't really be improved, just more comments in the file and I/O relationship info. to the hardware.
