Installing PROMinator

Hi guys,

Just got a PROMinator Pro and I was wondering exactly how to install it into my 165 ECM. There weren't any instructions in the box. It seems that the MEMCAL socket on the PROMinator should point in the direction of the ECM's wiring harness socket, and the MEMCAL should plugin to the PROMinator's socket with the MEMCAL key facing down towards the ECM's motherboard. Is that right?

Just what I needed, thanks. But it doesn't say which way round the MEMCAL goes on the Moates adapter. I see there are three tabs on the MEMCAL connector, one on one side, two on the other. Does the two tabbed side face up when installed into the adapter and PROMinator?

I don't know exactly how to describe it except to say I lifted the eprom straight out of the ecm and rolled it over to plug onto the adapter.

I did not switch ends of the eprom, just rotated it over on its side.

Ah yes I believe I follow you. The ROM should still be on the right hand side once installed in the adapter. Thanks for that.
