Need injector identification: Marine Vortec Array

Hi folks,

I'm looking to ID an injector set. This is a replacement injector array to upgrade the stock Vortec (ca. 1999 5.7L truck) injector poppet-style spider.

Anyways, looking for lb/hr ratings and pressure specification.

The injectors are Delphi Lucas 0937-1246B.
The part # for the array is 93441235.

This is going to be a pretty stout build 383, with good-flowing RHS heads. I'm going to do the tuning with the factory 99 Vortec PCM using TunerCat's OBD2 stuff.

If the injectors are inadequate (ie. 19# or something), I'm really hoping that there is an alternative part# for an array with higher rating (24-30#).

Many thanks,
-Craig

Look on Fullsizechevy.com. There are guys that have used the GM marine intake that uses standard style external injectors. It is $$$, but with nothing available to upgrade to, it is about the only option. You will lose your EGR going this route.

Check these threads out.
It's where I found info on changing injector wiring on vortec to vortec marine. These guys are converting the intakes to marine and using external injectors, and also using ramjet intakes on vortec wiring.
I'm starting a vortec truck setup with vortec 350, ramjet, 4l60e, sequential injection, and dual oxygen sensors, for a streetrod application. I was going to use TPI/Edelbrock tpi/vortec intake, but found the ramjet intake.

IIRC the injectors are 19# pico style injectors and they take the place of the poppet valves which are in the intake runner. The only thing doing the conversion to injectors vs. poppet valves does is fix a known mechanical weakness. It is still a pig in a prom dress. IIWY I would go with the Ramjet if you are expecting to make more than 350HP which is easy to do with a stroker and a new Ramjet minus electronics will cost you about 1/2 what the marine setup costs and it comes with a new distributor. The Ramjet also comes with 22# injectors but they are standard high impedance type. Also, if you go with the Ramjet, you should modify the PCM to bypass the P&H sense resistor just to be on the safe side. HTH

Hmm, everyone I talk to suggests that larger injectors to fit into this arrangement are not available. Everyone says go marine external injectors or just limit the RPM.

I'm now considering replacing the harness/regulator block with a pass-through modification block which will then go to a small sub-harness. Then modify the bungs and fab up some mini-rails to fit inside the manifold. If I can pull it off, it should be pretty trick. And I can use those old SVO 36# units everyone has lying around!

Will post back if it looks promising.

If you have some old SVO 36#'s laying around I would be interested. Look at this link for the conversion. I think this is really the way to go
