MAF limitations

I know nothing about prom programming but i went to see the guy thats going to be doing my tuning and told him what i have for motor. I was told that maf will not be streetable after 400hp, and i will be making over that with my engine. I want to know if this is the truth and if i will have to convert it over to SD? Thanks in advance, and please tell me this guy doesnt know what he is talking about

The stock MAF wont see over 255 grams/sec of airflow. There are ways around it to fudge it and get the fuel you need, but speed density may be better.

GN's have gone in the 9's with a stock GM MAF.
Yes, you can go over 400, but there are better, read more reliable, ways of doing it. And at that HP level a SD system is alot more intuitive to work with.
