Serial to USB Adapter (ALDL Cable) run w/out External PWR Source???
The ALDL cable I want to get has its own pwr source from the serial port. I will have to use a serial to USB adapter and need to know if this cable will work with the adapter...
Does the USB support power or do I have to use an external power source??? (My cig lighter is going for a shift light)

The usb to serial convertor will use the power from your computer. You shouldn't need any external power source. Plug the usb to your usb port, other end goes to the convertor box, which leads to the ALDL connector.
