Lean pop

I have been trying to track down a lean pop on my tpi 305 with a 730 ecm. It will only pop when I take it out of gear. As soon as I take it out of gear, it will pop. It is a manual tranny, so it will do it every other time it comes out of gear, no matter the gear. It happens between shifts too. I have played with the DFCO and the VE table, but that did not help much, if at all. The O2 sensor's data will fluctuate as normal up and down at .450. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

If it pops with lifting throttle, it should be DE (decel enlean). If it's soggy or popping on tip-in, it's AE, probably DMAP, unless you're stabbing it hard.

also consider looking at the timing in the lower MAP cells (20kpa area). if you have very little timing in those spots, what fuel is there might not be lighting off in the chamber and is instead going out the exhaust and igniting in the exhaust.

I assume you mean you are taking it out of gear AND taking your foot off the gas.

Yes, I only get a pop when I take it out of gear and take my foot off of the pedal.

I wa unable to find a Deceleration table. I am using Tuner Pro RT. What Decell table should I be looking for?

i wasn't referring to a decel table, but instead the low kpa values in your VE table. That's where the engine ends up in decel - around 20kpa.
