I am wondering what the differences are amongst the 90-92 camaro/vette computers.. can i temporaily use a chip from a 90 vette(auto) in my 91 Z28 (350 Auto)?? will they all interchange and function properly? I know that the vettes use a different distributor but i forget for which years. Any help on this is appreciated

Nick,
Yes the chip from a 90-91 vette and the 90-92 Z28 should work.. The only real difference is the ECM. The corvette ECM is in the Engine compartment and has 4 connectors. the F-body has 3 connectors but electronically they should work the same.
So basically the chip should work.. if not the car just won't start.

Yep as Jeff posted above. A couple of things to add. the vats is seperate from the ECM. If the ecm gets a sgood vats sig from its controller then the car will start. The vats disable is for cars that were they didnt have vats. One more thing make shure you are tryign to run a 350 motor chip and not a chip for a 305. if you have a 350 of course.
