7747 Pump shot...

I finally got my functional PROM programmer and I've been playing with the TPS pump shot table. Unfortunatly, I'm not sure I understand it. Here's what the table I'm starting with looks like (this doesn't work, it still backfires with this table)...
%TPS usec Added
0.0 122
3.1 305
6.3 610
9.4 916
12.5 1221
15.6 1526
18.8 1648
21.9 1953
25.0 2441

Just messing around with it I increased the values in increments of 10%-20% down the whole chart, and it seemed to do better with quick throttle openings. I'm now trying leaving the 0% TPS value at 122 and increasing the others by fixed amounts, 400usec, because the idle was increasingly crappy as I played with the table. Anyone have an explanation of these values and suggestions for tuning this table? Thanks...

dont be afraid to really boost up the numbers
this chart will have no effect on idle (well, im pretty sure any other cell other than 0% tps wont have an effect, i still dont understand the 0% myself it would seem like that is added all the time, so i dont mess with it)
just download some Bins from larger motors, and then use those, and play with them
as a suggestion, find a 454 bin with the smallest amount of pump shot out of the 454 bins you see, and just use the TPS pump shot and leave the map pump shot alone, this is considerably less than what the 454 uses but alot more than what the 305 uses stock and is a good start

btw those are still way way too low, my setup is still a little lean on the pump shot and i have double what you have there on the high end of the scale

BTW you are also gonna need some tuning beyond just pump shot your motor is ingesting alot more air now the top end is probably a little lean

I got the Pump Shot table working...Increased everything past 0% by a factor of 3.3. It rev's quick with no sputter or backfire.
Only problem (non-pump shot related) is that I can't get the damn thing leaned out at idle. What can I adjust to help lean it out? I've got the 65# injectors on my Holley TBI unit.

oooh those injectors are way way more than what you had stock

have you done anything else to the chip?

if not, drop the BPW to 112, it should REALLY improve things for you

give me a buzz on icq 11291690, i can talk you through this easy stuff and im dying to hear the difference the bpw adjustment makes because right now you are running PIG RICH

oh, you might have to make a pump shot adjustment after you change your bpw but i dont think you will need to

I've got the BPW turned down to 112...
Made the pump shot adjustments with it at that, so no more pump shot tuning is required. It doesn't make a difference, still runs rich as sheet.
I'll try to get in touch ICQ at some point today, couldn't yesterday...I was busy yelling profanities at Fulmer and the Vols, I hate football...

The O2 sensor wire bundle was touching the header. I repaired the burn damage and used a wire tie to pull it out of harms way. Now, I put my chip into the ECU and it runs idles 100% better. So I pull it again and make some small adjustments to some other stuff that wasn't quite right. I write those changes to another chip and run back out to the car and slap it in there. The damn thing wouldn't even start. I figure that I've made some strange mistake in tuning so I put the first chip back in there. It does the same damn thing! Starts, sputters, and dies immediatly... I'm going to try again here in a minute with the first chip and see what it does now. After giving the car 12 hours to change its mind about not running right .

P.S.
What do you think about this pump shot table? Too much? I thought they looked kinda on the large side, should they increase more slowly or does this look about right?
