SLP Chip

I recently put an SLP chip into my car and its having some detonation problems about like 3500RPM or so.

My car is running around 9.8:1 CR and has the small SLP cam (207/212) (4.80/4.87)
I run 93 octane most of the time. It does it sometimes and sometimes not.

Initial timing is at 8degrees advance (probably a little high) and Im running about 46-48PSI fuel pressure.

You guys see anything wrong with this?
Is it a good chip for my car?

Thanks in advance, Joey

It really depends on the chip. I would say try backing off your initial timing a little. Try 6 degrees. Most chips assume you have it at 6.
