305 to 350 Question
I have an 89 Firebird that had a LO3 305 TBI.
I recently changed the motor to a 350 Vortec.
With all the stock TBI items, the motor surges and stops when cold. It does not run right when warm either.
Can this motor be made to run right with changes to the PROM program?
Should I change the TBU to a Holley unit with 65pph injectors?
The motor has a mild cam now but I want to change it in 6 months or so.
Will the stock computer work with the stock TBU and a reprogrammed chip now and when I change the cam?
