i'm lost, replaced ecm and the vats keeps setting
i'm lost, replaced ecm and the vats keeps setting
i replaced the ecm this week w/ a 7747.
but at the track tonight the vats set 2 times.luckly i was in the lines and not up front. i thought when i replaced the ecm
the speed limiter and vats were disabled.
so what do i do?

Grumpy is correct, the 7747 doesn't require the vats signal.
Disabling VATS in the prom DOES NOT disable the rest of the VATS system which is separate from the ECM.
Your problem with no crank at the track is a VATS system problem. Not ECM.

sorry i guess thats what i was asking. if it was the ecm or something else. So how do i disable the vats system. is there a relay
or a bypass i have to do. its scary to be someplace you might have to leave in a hurry,
and woundering if your car will start.
