Hypertech carrier ?

Which years hypertech carriers allow you to easily plug in eproms? I bought one for an 87 and it was set up like a regualar memcal. Do the 730s and 165s use the same type of memcal?

I cannot comment on the Hypertech for the SD TPI L98, but my ADS chip for my car did not have a removable eprom. The ADS carrier is basically useless to me, except for "experimentation".

Can't find it on turbo city's website and their email is not working. Any other clues? Hypertechs go cheap on ebay, but there's no way to tell if what I buy will be what I want. Local chips that I can look at cost too much. A hypertech for a 730 should work because I plug my own memcal and custom eprom in, right?

Why not just desolder the EPROM off your stock carrier and solder a socket back in. That way you can easily swap EPROMs w/out having to plug it into any fancy adapters.

That's my next option, but I'd rather buy a $20 hypertech online than a minimum order from digi-key, then risk losing my stock memcal to inexperienced soldering and a $9 Radio Shack iron.
