ECM usage

Can a 16198262 ECM be used with the SD TPI system. My 7730 took a dump, a local salvage yard is telling me that this 8262 will work. But this ECM is not listed on the Tunercat site. Will it work, and will my proms from the 7730 work with it.

Apparently, they are the same part, but two different numbering systems were used. My observations have been that the 160XXXXX and 161XXXXX munbers refer to an ECM-PROM system. According to Painless wiring's site, 1227730 and 16198262 have the same applications. Here is the URL:

You're lucky to have salvage yards run by people who know what they're talking about. I can hardly trust anything those people say around here.

8262, is a remanufactured ecm, with some minor updated internal mods.
