I need a starting point.

I am getting ready to put in the new 383. I am going to be using my car to learn about prom burning but, I need a starting point. I need to find out where to set everything too get my engine running reliably. Here are the engine specs.

383 stroker 350 with 400 crank 10.5/1 compression.
30lbs per hour injectors
adj. fpr.
walbro 255lph fuel pump
52mm throttle body.
World products 64cc comb. chambers
2.02 intake & 1.66 exhaust.
1.6/1 roller rockers
Stock TPI intake. ( it has been ported and polished)
The cam is a custom ground Lunati.
lift - int.452 exh.465
dur. @ .050 - int.214 exh.220
lobe separation 112 degrees
valve timing int. open@ 0 closed @ 47
exh. open@ 34 closed @ -7
Edelbrock TES headers. 1 5/8 inch primaries.
I am keeping all of the emissions in place. I just need to get everything set so that I can drive the car while I learn.
Thanks

Rob,

We already talked via e-mail but I'll post here also.

Basically, you have a 305-383 swap. Here is what you want to do....

Get a chip from a 1989 Corvette with manual transmission. Change the bin via a program like TunerCat to use 30lb/hr injectors. That's it. That is your starting point.

After you get it running you will probably want to dive into the MAF tables and the WOT PE vs. RPM table. But, that is AFTER you get it running.

Gunning for NA 11's with bigger cam, bigger stall, and bigger exhaust.
