What scanner are you using? How much did it cost and where did you get it? I can't seem to find any shareware stuff. I'm going to make a cable for Carbytes but I need to "Bytes" for all the signals. SO if someone has a definition file for the 746 for a Scanner that lists that stuff I Would appreciate it if you could email it to me.

The reason I'm not going to buy Diacom or something like that is for the simple fact that It doesn't help that much so if I don't put money in it then It's not a waste.

Thanks,
Lars

There are over 300 ALDL data streams. When asking a guestion like this need to know model year, ecm, engine code, displacement. They aren't listed by mask number, another wee lil bit of gm keeping ya on your toes....

This is a bit more difficult than I had originally thought. I am going to make it work though. I would even like to have an ALDL stream defintion file for the another ECM so that I could have something to model the new file after. Any info anyone has on the 8746 ALDL data stream would be greatly appreciated. Please email it to me.

The Model Year is '92, ECM: 1228746, Engine Code: E, Displacement: 5.0L (305).

thanks,
Lars
