I put in a custom chip from Street and Performance and the SES light flashed rapidly and didn't run worth crap. I called them and they said that the computer wasn't accepting the new chip, that it was incompatible and the computer had switched over to back up mode. Is there a way to make the computer unaware that this is a different chip so it will work? S & P is going to make it right, but that will take a few days and if there's a way, I would like to try to make it work. Thanks.

 

Sounds like they forgot to correct the checksum.
