What does it mean by single fire and double fire by the injector flow rates?

Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
Whether the injectors fire once or twice per cycle. This double-fire setting, if we had found it back then, would have allowed my dad to use the 7730 computer with his TBI. But he's much happier with TPI now.
