How to check Prom?????
My car idles at 1000 -1500 RPM. Now the Guy I bought the car from said he changed the chip in the comp. but how can I tell if he used thed right one? The ECM is the stock 1226870 for my 1985 305 Iroc Z.
If its not could this be why my scanner wont read codes but jumper wire can?(scanner won't do a thing when pluggeed in)
I dont know anything about the ecm's and proms.Still trying to learn so any input would be appreciated!!!!
