map sensor problem

i have been having problems tuning my typhoon
and i noticed why . my map reads a different value
than my boost guage . here are some numbers
at 19 inches vacuum my datamaster map shows 30 kpa
at 0 inches vacuum my datamaster map shows 70 kpa
at 16 psi boost my datamaster map shows 140 kpa 10 psi boost
i am confused at the scaling because i thought the conversion from
kpa > psi was kpa x .29 approximately
the guage i am comparing against i feel is accurate
this is on a 3 bar map

any ideas ?
mike

I thought the $58 for the Sy/Ty crowd was only a Beta version?

Might not be right to begin with.

Have you checked to see if there is a Tuner Pro file u could try temporarily?

later

If you installed a 3-bar MAP with the stock $58 code then the ALDL will not read properly and the ECM will not work properly.

You need a different equation for the ALDL datastream when using a 3-bar MAP sensor. Check the NWSTP site for the ADS file and look at the 3-bar MAP equation. I pressure tested a 3-bar MAP sensor with one autometer boost gauge and one automotive pressure gauge and the equation appeared to be correct when viewing the ALDL reported MAP value.

You need custom code for the 3-bar MAP sensor to work properly with the ECM. Be careful with the custom code/patch you use.
